The Future of Learning: Enhanced Course Creation with Gen AI
Engaging, Gamified, and Employee-Driven Learning
Engaging, Gamified, and Employee-Driven Learning
Moving from a bottlenecked, traditional model to a scalable, employee-driven future.
We were tasked by EHS to revamp their Manual Handling Training.
A Strategic Shift in Learning
Mandatory, full-day workshops. The critical bottleneck was a shortage of certified trainers. This meant we couldn't deliver a standardised experience for all colleagues, and the time and resources required for each workshop were immense.
A distributed, employee-driven model where Head Office EHS creates digital, self-paced materials. Colleagues complete the on-demand training and then book their practical testing sessions.
A new model for learning.
To build a dynamic, engaging, and gamified digital academy that empowers our colleagues and solves our scalability problem.
Compliance training has always been plagued by disengaged learners and low knowledge retention as bad learning design leads to the "click as fast-as-possible" method for completing training. We will change this learning behaviour.
Moving beyond stock images to creating custom universes.

We used AI to create not just images, but an entire visual world. We could generate:
Beyond Stock Images to Custom Universes 🎨
Gen AI has completely changed what's possible, moving us beyond traditional stock sites. This newfound creative control, which would have previously cost tens of thousands and taken months, is now achievable in days. Even our go-to tools like Adobe Stock now integrate powerful Gen AI, radically expanding our creative toolset.
This level of creative control was previously unimaginable. A project like this would have cost tens of thousands of euros and taken months in development. With Gen AI, we were able to achieve the impossible.
How we won over the skeptics with game-changing technology.
“Mate, unless you can get me an Irish woman who can speak with authority, I'm not interested in your robot voice. We'll just ask our Project Manager to record it.”
- Senior Stakeholder
The platform that made this possible was ElevenLabs.
I can say with full confidence this is the new industry standard for AI voice-over. It will become as prominent in L&D as Articulate Storyline.
The proposal to use an AI voice was met with a degree of skepticism. Instead of one voice, we presented a whole cast of AI actors—young and old, from all over Ireland.

Meet Penney, the AI-powered voice of our EHS training.
Running an airtight ship when every second counts.
We ran a really lean crew for the shoot days. Our entire crew consisted of:
We arrived on-site and were told, "You have one hour before the store opens to get every shot you need."
After the first day, we decided to reshoot 40% of the scenes with new dialogue and background elements.
We used an AI Assistant to manage the complex web of scripts, shot lists, and schedules. This created a single, synchronized blueprint for post-production, where its own challenges awaited.
How we conquered the post-production mountain with AI.
A typical shoot day left us with a mountain of raw data.
4+ batteries burned through per day.
Over 500GB of footage across multiple cards.
Over 4 hours of raw footage from two cameras (8+ hours total).
We had a goal to produce 15 distinct, high-quality videos.
Manually processing this would have taken at least 40 hours of editing time. Industry standard dictates a base cut needs at least 4 passes review of raw footage. This was our breakthrough.

The AI-powered editing timeline, where text and video are perfectly synced. What you see here is the breakthrough in action, turning hours of footage into a simple text document and saving days of manual work.
By leveraging AI to transcribe our footage, we turned hours of video into a simple text document.
Our editor worked directly with the text, which meant:
80% decrease in production time
A final look at the output.
A showcase of the final video content.
Impact by the numbers.
Reduction in cost for asset creation
Reduction in time for asset creation
Reduction in time for post production
Levels on production value and quality
Completed the production phase of the project 1 month ahead of schedule.
Completed on a relatively small budget for a production of this size and quality.
